Been to Antarctica , Done Something in Antartica, Love to come again !

Imagine 140,000 penguins across a full square mile of Antarctic land: an entire world of birds that reach your thigh, perfectly dressed in feathery formal wear, busily shuffling across the rocks and mud. They clean themselves constantly, and actively defend themselves, their territory and their chicks from skuas and seals that come too close. The little penguin chicks are always demanding food. These little brown fluff balls chatter incessantly and hit their heads on their parents? gullets to ask for food. The parents always have a ready supply of food for their chicks.

Once the now-full mother returns from feeding, she and the father perform a ritualistic dance of bows and pecks. Then the father takes a turn in the ocean.Believe it or not, there is nothing cute about penguins. They're loud and smell bad, as well as aggressive little things. Nevertheless, people still travel to Antarctica just for the chance to be close to these flightless birds. There's more to Antarctica than just penguins, though.

There is a slew of wildlife to witness, such as seals, whales, dolphins, and tons of other sea birds, and the landscape and seascape are breathtaking. You may see glacier spires that put some of the cathedrals in Europe to shame. If you are one of the brave, then you can always take a trip to see a remote setting where hardly anyone has gone before. Antarctica is the world's final hinterland.Finding your way to Antarctica is a huge part of the fun. The actual voyage, though expensive, will thrill you to the core, and isn't one often taken.

If leaving from the United States, the air travel just to get to a southern port alone, like Ushuaia, Argentina, is going to take at least 20 hours. There are other places you can travel to in order to get to an embarkation point, like Punta Arenas, Chile, Christchurch, New Zealand, or Cape Town, South Africa.

The only way to reach Antarctica is by water, so you'll have to travel through a few days of difficult oceans before reaching your destination. It's bigger than the entirety of the United States And Mexico combined, the continent weighs so much that the earth indents in that spot.

It holds 70 percent of our planet's fresh water reserves, and when combined with all the ice shelves that surround it, is larger than Europe, Greenland and North America combined. Cruises last from ten to twenty-eight days. You can also choose from ships that host between 75 and 200 passengers. Prepare for a different type of ship than those that cruise the Caribbean or Mediterranean. For instance, instead of casinos you can go to, you will be able to attend lectures about Antarctica.
You may wish to visit a penguin rookery, seal colony, or science research center on Antarctica. The ship will transport passengers to the continent on smaller rafts to do so.

These research facilities are manned by peoples from five different countries, all of whom have signed an agreement which keeps Antarctica free from commercial interests, borders, and nuclear weapons, keeping it safe for science.

Some say tourism is Antarctica is a huge mistake. One option of tourism was stopped in 1979 with the crash of a DC-10. All 257 people on board lost their lives, and no more flyovers were allowed. Environmentalists remain concerned that there will someday be a jumbo jet which will bring countless tourists to this pristine land for luxury vacations, and destroy the delicate balance of nature. One of the most active debates between politicians, scientists, and environmentalists is whether or not tourism to Antarctica should be a limited thing. There are two sides to the debate, and the first is the fight to protect Antarctica. The second argument states that most tourists who have seen Antarctica first hand come out with a new attitude on protecting the environment.

Currently, Antarctic tourists are not regulated. Those who do choose to visit Antarctica should follow the basic rules of ecotourism, however. You can only take pictures, leave only footprints, and stay away from the natives.

Clothing that allows for layering is the best choice for this trip. Pack you own waffle-soled, waterproof boots and plenty of extra socks. Most ships will supply you with a down-filled parka. Make sure you have your camera. Bring along your sunglasses and strong sunscreen. You will sure to regret of not bringing along those vital accessories

The benefits of raised air mattresses

Raised air mattresses can come in really  handy for a surprise visit from your relatives.
It's a fact of life that family members or friends are going to spend the night in your home for one reason or another. Sometimes family might plan a visit, or they might show up unexpectedly. Friends might want to crash over our homes after a night out, or sometimes we might have sleep-overs.

Sometimes our guest might find that they will be staying for a while, but there might not be a bed to accommodate them.
First, raised air mattresses are super easy to find.

This type of mattress are very popular with camping. They can be found at any household, or "big box" retailer. Just go to the camping section, or the bed and bath section. There are a wide variety of air beds in these sections. The prices can vary from very cheap for basic mattresses made out of the plastic that you hand pump, to premium air mattresses that use battery operated pumps.

The price will be determined by the sturdiness and the construction of the air mattresses, as well as the type of pump that is included, if one is included at all. Raised air mattresses do tend to cost more than flat mattresses.
However, raised air beds are well worth the investment.

For one thing, because they are raised, they can take in more air. More air means more comfort for the person who is going to sleep on the mattress. Sleeping on raised air beds is a highly comfortable experience.

Some people like them better than a traditional mattress. Traditional mattresses have springs, where again, raised air mattresses are raised on air. There are no painful springs to poke at the sleeper. Another advantage of raised air mattresses is that they are portable. They can be moved from room to room. They can set up in a living room, a den, a basement, or a garage.

Another advantage of raised mattresses is that they are deflatable. If a person wants to take their air mattress to another location, all they have to do is let the air out, fold it, and put it in a carrying case. Then when they arrive at their location, they simply inflate their mattress. Try doing that with a traditional mattress.

Raised air mattresses are portable, and can literally be a dream to sleep on. When you are having friends or family over, they can be helpful for them to sleep on, instead of having to have someone sleep on the hard cold floor. They are so comfortable, you don't even need guest to come over to break them out. Just inflate them, and enjoy them for yourself to sleep, or lounge on.

Try out this raise air mattress yourself.

People will always find a unique place to relax and unwind at some point in their lives. Some people opt a very silent place while others opt to go to the busy and crowded malls to shop. Personally, I find going to the beach relaxing but exciting at the same time. There is just something about the beach that captivates my heart. Perhaps it's because our city is abundant in beautiful beach spots. But what are really found in these beach resorts? Discover the reasons why:

1. The Sea Itself - Exhiliration. It is in itself naturally amazing as it not only refreshes our body but also brings fun. Being able to float on water will always feel wonderful.
2 The Sand - This will always make you remember something. It can be your childhood when you have attempted or successfully made sand castles. It can also be your recent get-away with your honey when you wrote your names on the sand and took pictures of it.
3. Free Souvenirs - Souvenirs are found everywhere the beach. It can be that nearby unique seashell, or that hermit crab walking past your feet. You can even take home some sand if you like!
4. Happy Person - It is almost rare to see someone sad at the beach. Everyone is happy! That is because everyone has a common goal --- that is to relax! The beach will always be a great place to read magazines, write poems or watch the sunset.
5. Recreation- While others prefer quiet and calm activities at the beach, some find doing sports more relaxing. The beach is suitable for playing games such as Frisbee, flying a kite, playing catch and surfing!

People may have different ways of relaxing but for me, the beach is the best place.

Why you should do the Hiking Without Plastic Water Bottles in Cinque Terre

One of the most famous place to hike in the world is Cinque Terre . But now it just got better - there is no need to carry water.

Why? Is this seem to be hazardous to your health and life?

On September 6, 2010, Cinque Terre launched a program called "Sbottigliamoci", promoting the replacement of plastic water bottles with the use of public water fountains strategically placed for tourists.
Most hikers in Cinque Terre don't realize that in each of the five villages, there is already at least one public water fountain.

And these fountains deliver some of the best water you will ever drink - fresh, safe, clean and cool.
But this new program will supply water from new public fountains, and there will be more of them. In the coming months, there will be four at the train station piazza in Riomaggiore, one of which will be handicap accessible, followed by fountains in Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare.At the press of a button, you can have fresh water at room temperature, or refrigerated still or sparkling water.

Imagine, chilled sparkling water from a fountain at the end of a hike! There will even be the possibility to purchase one liter, resuable biodegrable flasks for 1 euro, for taking along longer hikes. Since they are stamped with the Cinque Terre logo, they will be great souvenirs. The communes of Cinque Terre and Il Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre have launched this program to reduce the number of plastic bottles that are collected from the trails, sea and beaches each year - 2 million of them!

So by purchasing and using one of their flasks with a logo, you also have a token of your involvement in keeping the park clean and maintaining its natural beauty, something which should concern every hiker and indeed, every tourist. The program is aimed at everyone, from visitors to merchants to citizens.

This is a sincere effort to contribute to the health and well-being of not only the environment, through the reduction of garbage but also to consumers through the provision of fresh water, checked at least once daily, that has not been sitting in plastic bottles, possibly up to 12 months.

With such stunning natural beauty, this project can only contribute to maintaining that. Bravo, Cinque Terre!

Hike the less-traveled trails, experience the sea, enjoy meals of locally caught and grown food and wines of Cinque Terre.

Share the culture of this unique part of Italy, with charming and fun locals whose families have lived there for generations. Visit the website to learn and share information about Cinque Terre.A place not to be missed!

Learn how to know the most common fish when Snorkeling in Hawaii

If you and your kids are excited about snorkeling, you will also be excited about identifying the fish that you see. There are several species that you are likely to run across, no matter where you snorkel in Hawaii. These species are described below.

It is a big chance that the first fish you will encounter while snorkeling is the Saddle Wrasse. The Saddle Wrasse is endemic to Hawaii, meaning that you won't find it anywhere else in the world.

Wrasses are a diverse group of colorful fish and are usually the dominant family on the coral reef. The Saddle Wrasse can be identified by the orange band or "saddle" that is present behind its blue-green head. This fish sports an elongated purplish-green body and males may display a white band behind the orange saddle.
It is nearly impossible to snorkel in Hawaii and not run across the Manini or Convict Surgeonfish.

The body of the Convict Surgeonfish is ovate with a greenish or silvery cast and displays six vertical black stripes like the prison inmate uniforms seen in the old movies, thus the name. This fish has a small puckering mouth that it uses to feed on algae and a pair of sharp weapons near the tail.

Moorish Idols are very common on the reef. They are often found in pairs or groups and are very easy to spot. Called "Angelfish" by many newcomers for the long filament that trails from the dorsal fin, they are actually more closely related to Surgeonfish than true Angelfish.

Moorish Idols display two wide black bars on the body and one the tail. The center of the body is a sunny yellow color and the face is black with a yellow drop that adorns the top of a pointed snout.
Please remember don't forget that the reef is a delicate place. Don't touch the reef and apply your eco-friendly sunscreen 15 minutes before entering the water.

Really Want Cheap Flights Dubai? Key Points to Use

Home to the globally renowned and modern marvel, the Burj Al- Arab, Dubai boasts what can be described as an 'everything is possible' attitude. In Dubai, dreams come true and time and again, this formerly virtually unknown desert emirate has confounded the 'developed' world with the daring spirit with which it takes on and manifests dreams. Masterpieces have been created time and again in Dubai and they are not even done yet. Do you need any other invitation to visit this country? I believe not and the next thing for you is to find cheap flights Dubai. The question is; how do you go about it? Are cheap flights to Dubai a reality just like a cheap flight to Europe?

It is not impossible to get cheap flight Dubai. There are quite a number of airlines that are making regular trips into the country while offering cheap flights as you embark on your cheap holidays. I have to first let you know that there are times of the year when Dubai is 'hot' to visit, giving you the chance to compare holidays after all the fun. In case you are not aware, Dubai is host to the most popular shopping festival in the world, The Dubai Shopping Festival which is also known as 'Layali Dubai' that takes place at the beginning of the year and lasts for about a month. The visitor traffic is simply unbelievable, over 3.3 million in 2005. Unfortunately, this situation also presents a downside because it means fares will hit a high within that period. I advise you to compare flight prices to book your seat very much in advance to beat the rush (there will always be one thanks to unchanging human behavior). There are quite a number of airlines flying into Dubai from Europe and they include Lufthansa, Air France and Austrian Airlines and this makes it easier for you to compare cheap flights.

The Dubai International Airport is actually the largest hub for air travel in the entire Middle Eastern region. If you also planning to visit Dubai any time soon, you also have to conduct careful research to ascertain which airline is offering the cheapest airfare in terms of the pocket friendliness. The sheer number of airlines flying into Dubai engenders competition and your patience and diligence is bound to pay off with the cheapest flights. Plans are afoot in the audacious project, The Dubai World Central International Airport which will be the fourth largest in the world and projected to handle about 70 million passengers. This means that there will be more flights options. However for now, apart from the official carrier, Emirates, you also have the option of its low-cost partner, FlyDubai. You are thus assured of price consideration when visiting this exotic place.

You can also try visit at the time of the year when there fewer tourist though is not the easiest of things to do as Dubai was built on the concept of having activities all year round. You can see the world's most expensive horse race and participate in endless sporting events throughout the year.

South America Wine Tours - Argentina and Chile Wine Country

If you can name wine and travel as two of your greatest passions, you should consider combing the two and traveling to South America for a wine tour. Once a trip solely for the jet setters of the world, wine and culinary tours have grown in popularity side by side as people discover that one of the best ways to experience another culture is through its food and spirits.

As wine enthusiasts know, South America is quickly emerging as one of the most important wine centers in the world. Argentina and Chile in particular are gaining international recognition as viticulturists continue to produce award winning wines. The two best grape regions in South America are Mendoza in Argentina, and the Colchagua Valley in Chile.

Both of these areas are blessed with stunning scenery and climates that naturally produce delicious grapes. High altitudes, steep hillsides, a wide range of temperatures, plenty of water, and an above average amount of annual sunshine make the grapes grown here especially complex and perfect for making high quality wines.

Mendoza is one of the most beautiful cities in Argentina with dramatic views of snow capped Andes Mountains dominating the horizon, and verdant rolling vineyards surrounding the small city. Mendoza is known primarily for its Malbec wine, but the Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Chardonnay are also remarkable. Wine tasting in this picturesque Argentina countryside is a great way to spend the day and wineries here often have unique bed and breakfasts where guests can stay the night. Horseback and bike tours are popular alternative ways to travel between wineries.

The Colchagua Valley is known for its amazing robust red wines like Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, and Carmenere. Named the wine region of the year in 2005 by Wine Enthusiast, the Colchagua Valley is a great place for an introduction to Chilean wines. Besides the amazing wines travelers can taste, the location of this valley makes it a perfect destination for combining a wine tour with a vibrant city experience. Santiago is only two hours from this wine producing valley, and the ski resorts of Chile are only three hours away.

The two countries' regions are separated by the Andes, but flights are only 50 minutes. Many travelers are discovering that combining the wine regions of both countries into one trip is a great, unique way to explore South America while tasting some of the best wines in the world.

Prepare for Autumn

Among four seasons, I love autumn and spring. Autumn is a season for harvest; and spring is a season for hope. Moreover, the two seasons always have mild weather, which is not hot or cold. And now the hot summer has gone, and the cool autumn is coming. So in this cozy season, I have to choose warm ensemble for myself. I will invite some friends to go shopping and enjoy the fresh air of autumn. If I can buy some satisfying clothes, I'll be happy all the day.

I'd like to have a nice holiday in autumn. My friends and I prepare together for our autumn tour. Every time we will talk about it when we met. I'll tell them what I have prepared or they'll tell me to add some necessary things. I have to write souvenirs that I have to buy during my tour. I feel excited as if this is the first time I plan for my tour. Actually everyone can understand such exciting things. We have to work hard to earn money to support ourselves, but we still feel energic if we can enjoy such a fantastic tour after the hard work. This is not a business tour and its only goal is to relax your weary bodies, so you will be very comfortable. And I like this peaceful and comfy mood.

Besides distinctive souvenirs, I also love to take photos. So a good camera is a necessity. I like to visit new places and find its culture and history. And in the autumn, leaves turn to yellow, and what picturesque scenes! Photos can witness my happy memory forever. I always take picture together with my friends, and it proves our friendship and we can talk about it when we get old.

After this autumn tour, I'll plan for next tour. But I will keep the happy memory of every tour in my life. I think they are more precious than souvenirs. And I'll also cherish the time which spent with my dearest friends. Life is also a tour, and memory makes it unique and unforgettable.
